Disney and Horror Toys? Yes, Please!

Disney and Horror have so much in common and that has been established BUT did you know that we do not have access to many collectibles in the form of action figures when it comes to these two genres?
We have barely started scratching the surface thanks to both #neca and #doamondselect with their toy lines and now #super7 is following suit with these! Strange since one would assume that #disney would be excited to get more money by giving access to their portfolio in order to get some fully poseable action figures out there. Especially when it comes to their #villain line, which if you ask me we just never get enough of!
Recently, our prayers have finally been answered. While NECA is busy with their new #gargoyle toy line from Disney, Super 7 as stated above came up with a new collection that will enthrall us horror Disney aficionados! Guess what? They are releasing a toy line targeting not only the heroes (#sorcerermickey included of course) but also the villains. Here are the first three releases, which will see the light of day sometime late this year! Is that not super exciting? Yes , it is! Had to answer for you!
So, why are we excited! Simply put, before this new line from #super7 we never had a fully poseable villain or a hero for that matter. Yes, we have had some interesting figures over the years. We had this Sorcerer Mickey BUT they have never made the characters justice... UNTIL NOW! And the villains are just so sought after! We are finally getting there and while it will definetely take a few years to get through Disney repertoire of villains, well at least we are making progress in the Disney catalogue!
What about Horror Figures then?
Now, when it comes to horror. The market is pretty much dominated by NECA! NECA started around 1996 and they originally did not intend to focus on figures but soon enough their first figures proved to be massive hits! NECA started to venture in the horror genre by a pure fluke but they found their niche right there as that was the market that was not being represented by anyone. We horror fans finally got our wish and some horror classic figures were born.
Since NECA's triumph with horror, we have come to expect greatness from them, While many other companies have ventured into horror territory, NECA prides itself in providing both quality and affordability when it comes to their figures! #mcfarlane toys are the closest to NECA horror fan base when it comes to affordability but many question the quality and likeness to the characters thereof.
But it is not just #actionfigures , there is so much more. Who does not love some #funko pops or some #mysterybags ? We are seeing more and more toys coming out targeting this audience (you and I) who was forgotten and plain ignored for so long. I am so grateful that we are finally seeing so many new releases and more than that, I am grateful that I am an adult and now I have the #money to pay for my toys! Imagine if these had came out when we were kids and we had to ask for our parents to get them. I mean some may argue that we have to ask our wives for them now LOL but I say, just BUY THEM!
The key here is that we are finally seeing an influx of both horror and Disney toys and we need to start saving money because it does not show signs of stopping anytime soon. Hey, that is a good thing though! What toys are you looking forward to? What is one toy that you always wish they made?
